Tickets, streak & jokers

Learning Game is built like a game – with tickets as the stake, a streak as the reward for sticking with it, and jokers for tricky questions. Here is how it all fits together.

← Back to the overview

Tickets

Tickets are the app's "lives". You start with 3 tickets, and a round you fail costs you one of them.

Your supply never stays empty for long – tickets regenerate on their own:

Ads are therefore optional: you can play the app entirely without them and simply wait for the next regenerating ticket.

Daily challenge

Once a day the daily challenge is available – a round that costs no ticket. It is the easiest way to have practised at least once every day, and at the same time it keeps your streak alive. Once completed, the app marks it as done for the current day.

Streak

The streak counts how many days in a row you have played. It is the most important number in the app – not because it earns points, but because regular short practice is demonstrably more effective than rare long sessions.

So that your streak does not break by accident, the app can remind you of the open challenge with a notification.

Combo multiplier

If you answer several questions correctly in a row, the app counts a combo and shows it as a badge. At 3, 5 and 7 correct answers in a row you each receive one extra ticket.

A wrong answer resets the combo to zero. So getting cleanly through a level is effectively cheaper than guessing your way through.

Jokers

When you get stuck on a question, you can trade in tickets:

Since both cost tickets, it pays to save the jokers for the questions where you really cannot get any further.
