Entries
Tap + in the bar at the bottom to add an entry. Each has five fields: title, username,
password, address and note. Tapping an entry opens its view; from there you switch to editing or
delete it.
- Save writes immediately. There is no save button you could forget: once an entry is
confirmed, the vault file has been written and read back as a check.
- Cancel only asks if you changed something.
- Copy: every field has a copy button. From Android 13 on, passwords are copied as
sensitive, so the system does not show them in its preview.
- Generate password (below the password field): choose the length and character types,
add more under Additional characters.
- Custom fields: keep more under Custom fields, a customer number for instance.
Marked secret, a field is hidden like the password.
- Attachments: files up to 1 MiB each. They are stored encrypted in the vault. Saved out
of the vault, an attachment is no longer encrypted.
- History: When you change a field and save, the previous content is kept as an
old version – as are KeePass's history and the losing change of a sync. The ten most recent
are kept; changing only tags creates none, and attachments are not included. If there are old
versions, Show history in the entry's view opens the History page with two views: By
version shows the current version and below it every old one as it was; By field
shows, for each changed field, every value it had, each with its time span in front of it. If
several versions were made on the same day, tapping the outlined time span shows the time.
Trash
To delete an entry, tap the trash icon at the top right of its view. Deleted entries go to the trash and come back with Restore, tags included. Only Delete
permanently or Empty trash really removes them. The trash never empties itself, and
search finds nothing in it.
